Yankeetown is celebrating the grand opening of the Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve a Florida natural passive. The WGP is located at 1001 Old Rock Road, Yankeetown, FL (6.5 miles West on Hwy 40 from the traffic light at Hwy 40 & Hwy 19/98)
Enjoy a pleasant walk on the preserves groomed wilderness trails. One trail is a handicapped accessble boardwalk with a fantastic view of a natural salt pond. A 30ft observation tower is the highlight of another trail that takes you to an oak hammock with picnic tables, fishing dock, and restroom.
